Making films that help the human race makes me happy. I have experience in impactful and high-end storytelling in the natural history and factual docs space. I was part of the Emmy award winning Cinematography team for 'David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet' and have been travelling all over the globe filming on location for over 10 years.
More recently, I have been working on both series of Netflix's 'Life on our Planet' which is a co-pro with Amblin, ILM and Silverback and Exec Produced by Stephen Spielberg. Having also secured funding for a passion project short film called ‘Rodent’, it was picked up by the esteemed strategists Festival Formula, who have added it to their slate for the festival circuit.
I am no stranger (and strangely enjoy…) filming in unusual and challenging places including Chernobyl, shooting interviews for high profile people from Prime Minister of New Zealand to the leader of the Blackfoot Tribe, tracking Orangutans in the Sumatran jungle and filming Flamingos in the Atacama mountains at 16000ft to name a few. That being said, I am just as at home lighting and filming in a studio. No matter where I am, I don't let the huge array of camera tech available get in the way of telling the best story.
Creatively, key to everything I do is to blur genres and push boundaries to keep things fresh.
